The new Stadtgruen release is a very unique one. Producers Holger Flinsch (Thinner, Realaudio.ch, Rotary Cocktail, Basalt,…) and Martin Müller (aka Two_EM and label head for Rotary Cocktail) collaborated for this new project and the first result is a massive 59 minutes long release. Make no mistake, this is just one track.
As you can probably guess from the project name soothing dub layers hold the sparse, ambient like sounds of the first half of the track together. Evolving organically and already 32 minutes into the track things start getting more floor appealing. Though don’t fear, it won’t be a straight floor banger. It’s more subtle.
Take Basic Channel as a reference for this track but it is in no way a simple copy. More like a nod of respect to the Berlin innovators and then progressing into their own discrete sound. Get this release, you won’t regret it.
