After seven vinyl releases Irish drum and bass label Subtle Audio have launched their digital imprint. The first featured artist is the same one as on the first vinyl release for the label, veteran producer Alpha Omega.
With Asteroids Alpha Omega displays his deeper version of drum and bass. It is slower than the usual drum and bass releases on the shops’ shelves of today. Fine crafted drumwork lays down the basis of the track and is amended by a mellow, Detroit techno sounding synth line. In fact this track could have been released under his broken beat/techno moniker Nubian Mindz as well.
Fortunately Subtle Audio abstain from any DRM rather offer a 320 kbps file with great artwork. All for €1.50 from the Subtle Audio shop. While continuing vinyl releases Subtle Audio also offer mp3 files of the first three vinyl releases now.
Forthcoming Subtle Audio Digital releases will feature artists like Macc, dgoHn and Sileni. So watch out for them if you are interested in the more experimental side of drum and bass.
