Benefit from Web 2.0 services in School

Brian Benzinger of Solution Watch has written three excellent articles on how Web 2.0 services can be utilised by teachers, students and school administrators alike. The series of articles is called Back to School with the Class of Web 2.0.

In part one of the series Brian introduces readers to tools like organisers, gradebooks, todo lists but also to tools for mathematical education and media sharing. Part two deals with office applications like word processors, spreadsheets and calendars. Practical information on how blogging, wikis and podcasts can be used in an educational environment are dealt with in part three.

I highly recommend this series to everyone who is involved with education in any way. It is not just a list of websites but Brian has actually tested all of the services, points out his favourites and also mentions alternatives. A superb job.
