Once again a new Autoplate release. This time it is a full length, ten tracks release by Fernando Lagreca who already had releases on Autoplate before.
While many recent Autoplate releases could be filed under Ambient this one does not fit the category or at least goes far beyond it. Vocoder vocals, processed from real vocals, not just short samples, acoustic guitars and beats are used on various tracks and create a warm but uplifting atmosphere. Also many of them, if not all, have a nice and innocent pop sensibility to them.
I guess this is the kind of music the term electronica was coined for. However I have to admit that I always had problems with the term because it seems to be used for everything which cannot be filed under a different label. But it seems to fit here.
I like this release a lot, even listened to it at work today. If you like good, electronic (pop) music this might be the perfect release for you.
