Cantaloup – Tonight It Shows [Aerotone 4]

CantaloupAfter a longer break German netlabel Aerotone release these nine tracks by Cantaloup, a producer from the small university town of Marburg, Germany.

Most tracks, or should I better call them songs, conjur up a wonderful laid back and emotional but happy atmosphere. Sparse (live) instrumentation, some added beats and layered synth lines topped by the angelic vocals of Eva Paul let the borders of post rock and electronica become blurred.

This is an excellent release which will certainly appeal to a very diverse crowd of music fans.
