YourMinis Upgrade
December 6, 2006 in Web by Carsten Pötter | View Comments
Last night some interesting new features were added to Californian startpage service YourMinis that I had mentioned earlier on the blog.
Besides some new minis and performance improvements a community feature was integrated. People can rate public minis of other users now, comment on them and add them to their own YourMinis tabs. Public minis have their own URL so users can easily link to minis they like and are able to bookmark them. There is also code provided for each public mini to embed it in your website or blog. Very cool.
Implemented already a few weeks ago you can also add profiles from MySpace, Friendster, TagWorld and Bebo to your tabs now if you have the browser extension installed. The extension recognises and displays profiles the same way as it recognises MP3′s for example. Just click on the extension and add the profile to one of your tabs.
This is especially interesting to people who have accounts on at least two of the mentioned social networks. I think this adds a new and useful dimension to social networking as you can have your contacts all in one place.
