Book: Social Software

Today I have read a well written book on social software called Social Software - schnell & kompakt by Martin Szugat, Jan Erik Gewehr and Cordula Lochmann. It is just 118 pages, pocket size format and written in German.
The book covers quite a lot of topics: blogs, wikis, social bookmarking, social search, social networking. As you can guess from the number of pages each topic cannot be explored in depth. Though the authors provide some good examples and links for readers that want to know more. They even set up a small social bookmarking site with all the links.
People who use social software regularly probably won’t find new information but if you want to have a quick overview on the topic and you can read German this book is recommended.
