This is totally unrelated to this blog’s content but I am really disgusted by President Bush’s comments on Saddam Hussein’s death. I mean Saddam Hussein was a tyrant slaughtering his own people and I certainly won’t miss him. But words like this make me wonder if I have anything in common with Bush or anyone seeking video footage of Saddam hanging (just have a look at the Technorati top searches):
Bringing Saddam Hussein to justice will not end the violence in Iraq, but it is an important milestone on Iraq’s course to becoming a democracy that can govern, sustain, and defend itself, and can be an ally in the War on Terror.
A milestone on the way to democracy. He must be kidding but yes, I am a leftist European pantywaist.
