claimID: Verification of Identities

Besides being a profile aggregation service claimID is also an OpenID provider and supports MicroID (see my review of claimID). Today it has added a new page to user profiles, a Verified Page.

This page lists all links from people’s user profiles which were either verified using OpenID or verified using MicroID. It is a nice little list of identites which definitely belong to you. Also it is another piece of a puzzle for building online reputation. But I better quote the claimID folks themselves:

This allows us to really begin to tap into the power of distributed identity and maybe even hint at some uses for basic reputation across disparate websites.
