Minimono on Italian label Silenzio are starting this week’s short reviews with some funky Microhouse grooves.
While being rather minimal and granular the four tracks still manage to maintain a very groovy vibe. Booty shaking.

Next is Nikolay Smirnov aka Nitro on German label Dreiton. Organic and atmospheric grooves and sounds define the mood of Smirnov’s four tracks. Very relaxing. There are also four remixes of the tracks which are more minimal, dancefloor tunes. Great release.

Eventually a review of a Drum and Bass release on the blog again. And once again from the ever prolific Plain Productions label from Hamburg, Germany. This is the second release for Hek 187 on the label. Four tracks of rolling, breakbeat driven funk. I like it a lot.
