Ficlets - Collaborative Story Telling

FicletsFiclets is a fairly new site to create short (or even longer) stories collaboratively. Users start posting very short stories - 64 to 1,024 chracters - which can be commented and rated by other users. If they like the story they can continue and write a sequel to it. Also stories can be shared on AIM and clipped if you want to come back to them later.

It’s really a cool little application which surprisingly was launched by AOL recently. Stories are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license; images are provided by Flickr (hey, that’s a Yahoo property). Registering with Ficlets is also a surprise: either with an AOL/AIM screen name or with an OpenID. Yes, Ficlets is an OpenID consumer.

If you like writing little stories this might be an application you want to check out.
