Xlogon: Another Provider for the German Community

Last week German software company 4commerce Technologies AG launched another OpenID provider, Xlogon. It’s the third provider offering its services to German users.
So is it any different to other OpenID providers? Yep. It is particularly interesting that users are able to create several personas. It is up to users to decide which information is associated with a persona. So you can have a more private persona which just provides your nickname to a relying party whereas your professional persona provides more details like your email address, birthday and much more. Sxipper is the only other service to my knowledge which also provides different personas.

Xlogon is very professional and a great alternative to more well known (US) providers. Give it a try if you are speaking German.
