Wapstan is the moniker of Canadian producer Martin Sasseville who also runs Brise-Cul Records, a label which is focusing on Noise, Ambient, and Experimental releases which are mostly strictly limited.
So far I haven’t listened to any releases by Martin Sasseville, so I can’t tell if it’s different to his other ones. Anyway, this release on Canadian label Panospria consists of just one long track (26:58 minutes). Deep and minimal drones ebb and flow, sometimes hardly audible, creating a dark and cold but not menacing atmosphere.
A great track for Sunday nights.
