Remember The Milk Goes Offline

remember the milk Well, don’t panic! Australian online task manager Remember The Milk has just adopted Google Gears to provide offline access to it. I think Remember The Milk (RTM) is just the second application which utilises Google Gears and luckily it is also an application I use regularly; the other one is Google Reader.

How Does It Work?

If you have downloaded Gears to make it work with Google Reader already there is not much you have to pay attention to. The first time you go to the RTM website it auto-detects Gears. If you haven’t installed Gears yet, just have a look at the article on Google Reader.

snchronising In offline mode you can add tasks, manage and edit them in any way you like. So when you go online the next time all additions and changes will be synchronised. It’s easy, works well and should make productivity freaks happy.

Redesign

The website has been redesigned a little bit as well but the task view hasn’t changed and looks very familiar. Changes have been made to the help section and there is also a new section which lists all available RTM services. Somehow I didn’t pay much attention to them although I am subscribing to the RTM blog. I probably should read it more carefully. ;)
