Share Your Slides

slideshare Sometimes it is a little bit frustrating. I read about some conferences, great speakers on the list, interesting topics, however I can’t attend. Then every second blog is telling me that it was great, mind-blowing presentation by X and even the one by Y was thought-provoking. Damn it, I wasn’t there.

Though fortunately there is SlideShare which actually does what the name implies: sharing slides. It hosts slides from unknown people but also from well-known ones. Tara Hunt has her slides up there (check Fostering Online Communities from FOWA 2007), as have Kathy Sierra, David Recordon (check the last slide, btw ;) ), Simon Willison, and many more.

I think everyone should upload their slides to SlideShare. Those who could not attend conferences will appreciate it, I guess. I certainly will.

    that’s indeed a good idea.

Oh my! Please remind me to put my upcoming OpenID talks (FrOSCon, KiLux) over there, although I surely can’t compete with Simon or David. And I’d like to echo Carsten’s “Check David’s last slide”, especially if you want to find out which OpenID providers currently support the SeatBelt.

Oh, SeatBelt! I’m facing some problems with it. Though probably I have to check it more thoroughly and maybe change the provider from that well-known US one to that pretty cool German one. ;)
