Just a few days ago I wrote about portable social networks and was linking to one of the brains behind that concept – Brian Oberkirch; though I have to mention him again already.
Brian has started posting some awesome articles on how those networks could work, their benefits, basic technology, and much more since then. Each of his articles is worth your time, especially if you want to get an idea on how open social networks could really be; read those articles and bookmark them. He has even set up a category for those articles so people will find them more easily if they didn’t bother bookmarking them. Also if you are thinking about starting your own social network or considering implementing at least some of the basic features to your existing network Brian’s articles are a great and invaluable resource.
I really hope many people are reading Brian’s blog. He is passionate, clever and has a vision. You can hardly ask for more.
