Some hCard Examples
August 25, 2007 in Microformats by Carsten Pötter | View Comments
In recent discussions about portable social networks microformats are mentioned occasionally, especially XFN and hCards. Since microformats are basically nothing more than some added markup to profiles, links,… which are readable by machines, people who look at a website don’t see them and wonder where they can find those mysterious microformats. Below I have provided seven examples to give you a better idea where to find them; more examples can be found on the microformats site.
If you’re using Firefox (and why shouldn’t you?) I recommend downloading either the excellent Operator add-on by Michael Kaply or the Tails add-on by Robert de Bruin which is also very useful. Those add-ons help you discovering various microformats.
