Upgrading the Blog?
14. September 2007 – 21:52 byMoving to the new server went rather smoothly it seems. Though oddly enough the header image of the blog went missing; I just have realised this tonight. Some of you have seen a very white header over the last two days. 
Also I am not sure if I have missed any emails while moving. I should not because the old server is still running until tomorrow but if you have written an email and are still expecting a reply, please send it again. Thanks.
Eventually I should upgrade WordPress - 2.2.3 is the current one while I’m still running 2.1.2 - but I am reluctant; something goes wrong each time I do this. Also I am looking for a new theme; I am pondering getting a customised one. Sandbox looks great as a base, though I had to find someone who could style it.
Oh yeah, I have removed the Wink and Lijit widgets. I still like them but I want the blog to look at least a little bit different now.

Hab mir auch schon überlegt auf Sandbox umzusteigen und zögere aus dem gleichen Problem wie du… Ich brauch jemand ders mir gestaltet

Hast Du Dir schon mal die Ergebnisse der Design Competition für Sandbox angesehen? Das Siegerdesign z.B. finde ich ganz ansprechend. Mal sehen, vielleicht nehme ich eins von denen. Komplett eigenes Design wäre natürlich sehr, sehr geil.

Ich hab mal bissle angefangen was zu basteln, aber das dauert halt echt ewig… außerdem finde ich die aktuelle K2 Version auch ganz schick! Mal schaun.. Ich warte jetzt einfach mal dein Re-Design ab

Oh, oh, ich glaube MEIN Design wird das ohnehin nicht. Mal sehen, nächste Woche soll WP 2.3 kommen und dann könnte ich wirklich mal ernsthaft über ein Upgrade und ein neues Theme nachdenken; heute habe ich erst einmal ein paar Plugins auf den neusten Stand gebracht.
