Saturday Shopping Surprise

6. October 2007 – 14:47 by Carsten Pötter

What a great Saturday morning. Been shopping and have stopped by at the Zweitausendeins store here in Frankfurt. Much to my suprise they have had a whole slew of classic Blue Note recordings for the ridiculous cheap price of 4.99 Euros/each. As you can guess I have added a bunch of classics to my Blue Note collection (which is still rather small, though):

  • Bobby Hutcherson - Dialogue
  • Donald Byrd - A New Perspective
  • Wayne Shorter - Adam’s Apple
  • Herbie Hancock - Speak Like A Child
  • Joe Henderson - Page One
  • Kenny Burrell - Midnight Blue

So if you’re into Jazz and live in Germany visit one of their shops or get the discs online. I didn’t intend to listen to Jazz today but I’ll have to now. ;)
