Machtdose Podcast January 2008

machtdose_jan08 It’s been a log time since I have mentioned any netaudio releases here on NSR. That’s not surprising at all considering that I haven’t listened to many releases recently. I am still intrigued by the netaudio scene but I hardly find time to download and discover new artists, labels, and releases worth listening to. A pity! Fortunately there are some blogs focusing on netaudio and they are even nice to us lazy folks and produce podcasts.

One of those blogs is German Machtdose which is based in Frankfurt; surprisingly, it seems to be based in the same district of town I live. The world is a small place, really. Anyway, there are monthly Machtdose podcasts which are broadcasted on local radio station Radio X and are also available for download. The January podcast covers a wide range of genres and labels. It includes well-known labels like Test Tube, Kreislauf, tonAtom, and Interdisco but also unknown (to me) labels such as Tripostal and Luv Sound. Actually it is a very pleasant mixture of sounds, mostly electronic music though. The podcast is highly recommended and can be downloaded here.

  • Hi Carsten, vielen Dank für die freundliche Empfehlung. Nicht so wirklich wichtig, aber: den Podcast produziere ich von Berlin aus, Gregor, der andere Machtdosenmitmacher, macht zusätzlich die Radiosendung bei Radio X [d.h. also, der Podcast wird unabhängig von der Radiosendung produziert, ich weiß, das geht nicht wirklich aus unseren Selbstbeschreibungen hervor] - übrigens gehört Gregor auch zur Freitagsküche, wenn Dir das was sagt (falls nicht, Ausgehtipp für FFM)
