OpenID on Spiegel.de

As Oliver Belikan mentioned in the comments of my previous blog post, the online edition of Germany’s leading news magazine Der Spiegel has published an article on big companies joining the OpenID Foundation today – IT Giants Want the Web Identity Card.

I can’t say I like it a lot, though it could be worse. I have mentioned most of my criticism here already. Anyone know if it’s possible to comment directly on articles on Spiegel.de?

You can’t directly comment, but there is always a forum thread for each article. I already posted something along the lines that the title and teaser of the article are totally misleading. Sadly most of this thread is already in the hands of people who now think that OpenID is made by Microsoft to control the web for all eternity.

Have written a comment mysself now but as you mentioned, commenters think MS rules the stuff, it was an identity card, RFID chips were next for internet access. I’m pretty sure none of the commenters had a look at OpenID themselves. People don’t have to like it. That’s cool, but those comments don’t bear any substance.

Heise has also an Artikel (http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/103226/) today which is more positiv, though commenters are already mentioning CIA, FBI and NSA as members of the Foundation. This is a funny country. :|

I can’t comment there until tomorrow because I was using an email from a free mail provider.

Don’t try to comment in heise forum threads, it’s pointless. The crowd there is the avantgarde of German trolls and your reason will be wasted. This is a widely acknowledged fact.
